SA PMI 2019 to 2023

The PMI declined slightly to 47.3 index points in July 2023 from 47.6 in June 2023. The PMI failed to reach the 50-point mark for the 6th consecutive month. Some of the key events that shaped the PMI for this month were the ramp-up of load shedding sessions compared to the little to no load shedding in June and the N3 truck incidents.
